Storyboarding

This project was a frame-by-frame animation designed as a promotional video set to an audio piece of choice. I selected an excerpt from The Magnus Archives, an eldritch horror podcast, specifically a segment that personifies “Loneliness” as an entity.

Throughout this process, I deepened my understanding of pacing and storyboarding while refining my approach to motion design. Working in Adobe After Effects, I explored techniques to streamline animation, making frame-by-frame work more efficient and expressive. The result is this: a piece that enhances the eerie, immersive nature of the audio. Please note that the podcast cover art on the very last frame (in green) was made by a different artist, I matched my frames' brush styles to blend it in with the rest of the animation.
